SUMOGOLD Pty Ltd (SUMOGOLD) is the union between two long standing entity brands in the Australian financial services industry. SUMO Group originated in 1992 from a financial advisory practice offering integrated solutions in wealth management that included financial planning, accounting and taxation, legal services, mortgage solutions and investment advice. Group founder, Mr Surendra Pather, was instrumental in developing and expanding the business internationally by creating a holistic offer to high net worth clients in five key service categories : Health, Wealth, Leisure, Life philosophies and Education. This culminated in SUMO Groups motto that financial independence is the ultimate opportunity to search for meaning and fulfilment in life, and should not be the end result of wealth creation. As a result of technology and client education, SUMO Group’s financially savvy clients have transformed from requiring financial advice, to requesting financial products for their needs.
Green Gold Enterprises, chaired by its founder, Mr Rajeev Shirodkar, has continually provided speciality services in finance, accounting, operational planning and business growth solutions including mergers and acquisitions, for more than 25 years in Australia. Together with a strong team of finance executives, they have built trusted relationships with a large client base across Australia, that rely on their expertise for total financial solutions. As many of their clients have matured in their knowledge and qualified for “wholesale investor” status, they too have been seeking financial product investment opportunities.

Combining the experience of SUMO Group and GREEN GOLD Enterprises, the opportunity to provide “wholesale investor” clients with financial product advice and distribution was created. SUMOGOLD was born from the need to provide our long standing clients with innovative, secure, competitive, transparent and well-researched property managed funds, as well as private equity opportunities created by Emerging Funds Management Pty Ltd (EFM). EFM holds a Corporate Authorised Representative authorisation CAR No.1305976 from Quay Wholesale Fund Services Pty Ltd (Quay) (AFSL No. 528 526), which also allows it to provide General Product Advice. The principals of EFM are shared with SUMOGOLD, although the business operations and execution of activities are separated.
SUMOGOLD works closely with our investor clients to understand their needs and objectives. This information is then conveyed to EFM who in turn undertakes extensive analysis on the capability, track record and financial position of the corporate principals and property developers with whom they engage. Once the project passes EFM’s due dilligence and quality, the Fund is created for wholesale investors to participate in. Investors can access investment opportunities from a minimum of $100,000, with an investment time period of between 12 months and 3 years. Our focus is on delivering projects with strict risk-management procedures for capital preservation as priority, whilst optimising private equity returns.
